In 2004, Steve was first elected to the State House from Georgia’s 109th, which covers part of Henry County.
Steve currently serves as Chairman of the Henry County Legislative Delegation and Vice Chairman of State Planning and Community Affairs as well as memberships on the Appropriations, Insurance, State Institutions and Property and Transportation Committees.
In 2007, Steve was named Representative of the Year by the Republican Liberty Caucus.
After years of political twists and turns the long anticipated Southern Crescent Technical School located in McDonough is seeing some progress. During this years session I was able to amend SR 1083 with language to include the transferring of the 25 acre property from the Henry County BOE to the GA Technical College System. [...]
